EMMITSBURG, MD (August 19, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's men's soccer begins their 2026 season Thursday evening, hosting Binghamton at Waldron Family Stadium at the PNC Sports Complex.
2025 RECAP
Last season, the team went 3-9-5 including a 3-6-1 record in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play. Against the league, the Mount defeated Merrimack, Quinnipiac, and Canisius and earned a draw against Niagara.
Graham Dougald earned an All-MAAC selection, leading the team in points with 11.
KEY RETURNERS
Two of the team's point scorers are back for another year –
Abou Cherif and
Oliver Brown. In fact, Head Coach
Brett Teach and staff have the unenviable task of replacing 78 percent of minutes on their roster. Players with high levels of minutes returning include
Christian Kyriacou,
Maciej Majcherczyk, and
Anthony Fanelli.
NEWCOMERS
A total of 20 newcomers join the team this year, comprised of 16 freshmen and four transfers. The transfers are juniors
Tyler Philpott from Western Illinois,
Noah Kaiser from Essex Community College, and
Camden Marquette from Lock Haven; along with redshirt sophomore
Luke Depeppe from Merrimack.

METRO PROJECTION
In the preseason coaches' poll released on August 13, the Mount received a ninth-place vote.
SERIES HISTORY
Mount St. Mary's is seeking their first win over Binghamton on their fourth try. The Bearcats have won meetings in 2003, 2024, and 2025. The most recent meetings were one-goal games.
UP NEXT
One week from Thursday (Aug. 27), the Mount travels to Pittsburgh to face Duquesne. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. from Arthur J. Rooney Field.
