EMMITSBURG, Md. — Mount St. Mary's men's tennis fell to UT Rio Grande Valley, 4-0, on March 7 at Mount St. Mary's University.

UTRGV secured the doubles point by sweeping the three matches. The closest contest came at No. 1 doubles, where Ivo Isqueiro and Sam Whitehead edged Stefanos Pournaropolous and Nikos Makris in a tiebreak, 7-6 (7-4). The Vaqueros also earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take the early lead.

In singles play, UTRGV clinched the match with victories at Nos. 4, 5, and 6. Will Roberts defeated Luke Papayoanou 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4, while Tsz Him Chan posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over Joshua Johnson at No. 5. Paolo Bonaguro sealed the team result with a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Andrew Allen at No. 6.

Singles matches at the top three positions were not played once UTRGV secured the four points needed for the team win.
