HILTON HEAD, S.C. — Mount St. Mary's men's tennis fell to Tiffin, 6-1, during action in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The Mount moves to 2-5 on the season, while Tiffin improved to 8-4.

Tiffin secured the doubles point by winning matches at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Stefanos Pournaropolous and Nikos Makris earned the Mount's lone doubles victory with a 6-4 win over Martin Driesner and Jose Portillo at No. 2.

In singles play, Pournaropolous provided the Mount's point with a strong 6-3, 6-1 victory against Portillo at No. 3 singles.

Several other matches were tightly contested. At No. 1 singles, Akarsh Gaonkar won the opening set before falling in a match tiebreak to Romain Marionneau, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-8. Ryan Wagner and Nikos Makris also pushed their matches to deciding match tiebreaks before Tiffin secured the team victory.
