URBANA, Md. (March 21, 2026) –
Force Kosalutta leads Mount St. Mary's golfers after the first day of the Carpetbagger Classic to currently stand in first place with a score of 69 (-3). Kosalutta's scorecard includes five birdies. As a team, the Mountaineers are also in first on the team leaderboard, shooting a 290 (+2).
On the team leaderboard, the Mount holds a three-stroke lead over Monmouth in second. Monmouth holds a two-stroke lead over Colgate in third. Then following Kosalutta on the individual leaderboard in second place is a four way tie between the Mount's
Santiago Bonequi, Guillermo Ochoa Valencia of Wagner, Jackson Roman of Loyola Maryland (IND), and Mitchell Grey of Howard (IND) with a score of 70 (-2).

Tyler Fortney stands in 36
th with a score of 75 (+3),
Bryan Hernandez stands tied for 50
th with a score of 76 (+4), and
Brent Glah stands in 54
th with a score of 77 (+5).
There are also two men's golfers who are competing as independent in this tournament. The golfers are
Daniel Shelley and
Nathan Pheng. Shelley currently stands in seventh after shooting even for the day with a score of 72, while Pheng also stands tied for 50
th with fellow teammate with a score of 76 (+4).
