EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 5, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse opens the 2026 season at home, facing the Towson Tigers.

MOUNT UPDATE
  • The Mountaineers went 11-6 in 2025 with a 7-1 mark in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play. Earning the No. 1 seed, the school hosted the MAAC Tournament in Emmitsburg where the Mount suffered an upset by Iona in the semifinals.
  • Seven members of the team received All-MAAC accolades. Anna Salerno, Mackenzi Furlong, and Hailey Chester were First Team selections. Camille Thomas and Molly Molchanoff were Second Team honorees, and Brooke Molchanoff was an All-MAAC Rookie member. Head Coach Lauren Skellchock was named MAAC Coach of the Year.
  • Chester and Brooke Molchanoff earned Preseason All-MAAC selections ahead of this season. The team projected to finish in second place.
  • Defensive mainstays like Chester, Mackey Fick, and Olivia Nelson are back, along with goalie Camille Thomas. But on the offensive end, several graduations of standout players will need to be filled. Alongside Molchanoff, players like Allingham, Shannon McTavish, and Morgan Baird are expected to contribute along with a group of freshmen.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
  • Towson finished 2025 with a 7-9 record, going 3-5 in the Coastal Athletic Association. The Tigers scored 196 goals against 193 concessions.
  • Milana Zizakovic had the most points with 64 last year, and Katie Roszko led among returners with 52 points.
  • Back in the net this year is goalie Jenna Cardeno and her 163 saves from a year ago.
ALL-TIME SERIES

Since the year 2000, Towson has defeated the Mount eight out of 10 times. The lone exceptions were 2022 and last season, with the defense holding off a Tigers comeback on the way to an 11-10 win. Anna Salerno and MK Allingham recorded hat tricks.
