FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 15, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's baseball fell to Mizzou on Sunday afternoon by a scoreline of 34-3, losing the series to the Tigers in Florida. With the loss, the Mountaineers fall to 1-2 on the young season, returning to Maryland to play Coppin State in a single game on Tuesday, February 17.
The Mountaineer's three runs came across the plate in the top of the third inning after a
Sam Meyer home run to left field scored
Bryce Rudisill and
Mike Toth to get on the board. Meyer went 2-2 on the day, driving in all three Mount runs while walking once and hitting a triple. Toth and
Nathan Rodriguez recorded hits on the day for the Mount as well.
Eli DeRossi was accredited with the loss on the day, pitching two innings while giving up eight runs from the bump.
Nate Berzonski pitched two innings for the Mount on Sunday, giving up two runs while striking out three batters.
Jake Andrews also had a good showing, pitching a third of an inning while recording a strikeout.
