EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 20, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's men's soccer embarks on the first of eight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) matches, facing off with Merrimack on Sunday.

MOUNT UPDATE

In their toughest non-conference result to date, the Mountaineers fell to the Delaware Blue Hens by a 4-0 final. The squad did generate some offensive chances but were unable to get past the Delaware defense to produce a shot on goal. For the season, Jack Kehoe continues to lead the squad in the goal count with three. Julian Marcos added six saves in last Tuesday's contest to accumulate a season total of 30.

SCOUTING THE WARRIORS

Merrimack comes into the match seeking their first victory since September 9, when they defeated Central Connecticut State. Like the Mountaineers, the Warriors use defense and timely scoring to get the job done, conceding only six times so far. Goalkeeper Nelson Semado – the primary starter – benefits from a strong back line, recording 22 saves. On offense, Alessandro Bedei and Keller Cassidy have two goals each.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES

The Mount picked up their first win over Merrimack in last year's contest, defeating the Warriors 2-1 at home. The Warriors captured the other three meetings to lead the series 3-1.

LOOKING AHEAD

On Saturday, September 27, the Mount welcomes Marist to Waldron Family Stadium. Kick off is at 4 p.m.
