BUFFALO, N.Y. (April 27, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's baseball was defeated by Canisius by a score of 12-2 in seven innings on Sunday in New York. With the loss, the Mount falls to a overall record of 16-26 with a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference record of 9-12.
After finding themselves down 3-0 through the first two innings of the game, the Mountaineers got on the board in the top of the third after a
Sam Grube foul out scored
Bryce Rudisill from third followed by an
Alex Mendes double down the left field line that scored Fredo from second. After the third, the Mountaineer offense were unable to claw their way back into the game as the Canisius bats stayed hot.
Rudisill had the most productive day at the plate for the visitors, going 2-3 with a run scored followed by a run scored from Fredo. Mendes also notched a 1-3 day at the plate while driving in an RBI.
