ANN ARBOR, MI. (April 12, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's baseball lost a close game two in Michigan to the Wolverines by a score of 3-1. With the loss, the Mount moves to an overall record of 14-19 while looking to notch a win during Sunday's game three.
The game started with back-to-back solo-run innings for the Wolverines, getting on the board in the first and second innings to jump out to an early 2-0 lead.
Ty Fredo doubled down the left field line in the top of the third, scoring
Kyle Cincinnati from second to cut the deficit to one run. The Wolverines tagged on one more run in the bottom of the sixth, rounding out a 3-1 defeat for the Mountaineers. The Mount bested Michigan in overall hits during game two, besting the Wolverines four hits with six hits of their own.
Cincinnati led the way from the plate and on the base paths for the Mountaineers during game two, scoring the game's only run while going 2-3 from the plate. Fredo,

Evan Smith all notched hits in the game against Michigan, with Fredo knocking in an RBI.
Serigne Sarre was accredited with his fourth loss of the year, moving to a 3-4 record with four strikeouts against Michigan.
Eli DeRossi made an appearance out of the bullpen during the game, working 2.0 innings of one-hit baseball with a strikeout.
