NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (March 28, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's baseball split the first day of their series in New England against Merrimack, losing the first game 8-3 while winning the second match up 4-2. With the split, the Mountaineers move to an 11-15 record with a 5-6 record in the MAAC.
Merrimack started their first MAAC contest against the Mount hot, scoring five runs in the first two innings. The Mountaineers responded in the top of the second after
Kyle Cincinnati scored on a error by the left field, scoring
Nick Fleming and
Nolan Book. The team scored their final run of the first game in the top of the eight after a
Mateo Zeppieri double scored
Ty Fredo, but the early run total set by the Warriors was too much for the Mountaineers to claw their way back late in the game.
