GENEVA, Ohio (February 12, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's swimming and diving competed in the first day of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships hosted by the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. On day one of the championships, the women ended the day in second place with 60 points while the men finished the day in sixth place with 34 points.
On the men's side of the conference meet, the relay team of
Jason Fitch,
Aidan Grady,
Parker Koenig, and
Austin Toland finished second in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:27.46, more than a second behind the Iona relay team who finished with a time of 1:26.60.
In the women's category of the championships the 200-Yard Medley Relay team of
Hanna Aggen,
Christina Lazari,
Theodora Kanellopoulou, and
Meghan Speicher placed third with a time of 1:42.61. The relay team of Speicher, Kanellopoulou,
Carmen Del Aguila, and
Madison Murphy placed fifth in the 800-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 7:34.74.
