WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 27, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's swimming and diving competed at the Potomac Relays hosted by American University on Friday night. The women's team placed fifth among the field of schools, scoring 332 points while the men also placed fifth, scoring 286 points.
The women's 200-yard medley relay team of
Hanna Aggen,
Carmen Del Aguila,
Christina Lazari, and Megan Speicher placed fourth in the event with a time of 1:47.95. In the women's 3x100 Yard Breaststroke Relay, the team of Lazari,
Emily Myers, and
Aracelli Skiles placed fourth with a time of 3:31.56.
On the men's side of the relays, the 800-Yard Freestyle Relay team of
Peter Verderese,
Nicholas Santorelli,
Joshua Nelson, and
Antonio Gurri placed third in the event with a time of 7:02.36. In the men's 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team of Santorelli,
Austin Toland,
Evan Gardner, and
Parker Koenig set a time of 1:26.63 while placing 5
th in the event.
Upcoming
The Mount returns to the pool on October 5
th as they compete against Converse in Emmitsburg. This will be the first meeting of the Mount and Converse in program history.
