EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 16, 2024) – Makensy Knaub leads Mount St. Mary's golfers after the first day of the Battle at the Beach tournament with the only top ten placement. As a team, the Mountaineers are fourth on the leaderboard, shooting +76 (317-326).
 
Knaub is tied for third place following a 155 day (76-79, +13).
 
Erika Cui stands on the precipice of the top 10, finishing tied for 12^th with a +19 score of 161 (79-82) while Naomi Yacyshen stands tied for 16^th after going +21 (79-84).
 
Jennifer Sorkin stands tied for 23^rd following a 166 day (84-82, +24). Allie Sexton stands in 29^th following a 167 day (84-83, +25), and Anna Serrano completed both rounds for a 185 (96-89).
 
Bucknell University holds first place, 13 strokes ahead of Sacred Heart in second. Sacred Heart holds second with a 4-stroke lead over Monmouth. Monmouth and the Mountaineers are within 1 stroke of each other.
