MORGANTOWN, W. Va. (September 14, 2024) –
Vasilije Marinkovic set the school record for most saves in a single game with 25 against LIU to highlight the Mount's first day of the Salem Invitational. The Mount dropped a pair of close games, losing 14-11 to Gannon, and 14-13 to LIU.

The Mountaineers, lead early in the first quarter was quickly relinquished as Gannon responded with five goals in the second to make it 7-5 at halftime. An even contest in the third quarter saw both teams score four times each before Gannon scored three times in the fourth quarter to win the game. Goalkeeper
Sherif Hosni made 12 saves in his first game of the weekend.

In the second game against LIU, the Mount trailed at the half 8-5 as the Mountaineers feel short of shots on goal. A resurgent fourth quarter for the Mount saw three goals scored to send the game to overtime, but the Mount fell short in the end, being outscored 4-3 in overtime.

Vasilije Marinkovic recorded 25 saves against LIU. His tally set a new program record for saves in a single game.
