Senior Day Completes 2024 Men’s Lacrosse Season

EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 20, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse wrapped up its 2024 season by honoring its seniors and battling the Siena Saints. Holding a second half lead, the Mountaineers conceded a second half run to the Saints in a 14-7 defeat.

Cormac Giblin tallied a hat trick in his ultimate game for the Mount. Kevin Whitty was also a multi-goal scorer. William Pippen had seven ground balls on Senior Day, and Caden Cote finished with four ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.

Siena's comeback was bolstered by four goals from Patrick Radomski. The Saints clinched a spot in the 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) postseason.

Fueled by the Senior Day vibes, the Mount carried a 6-4 lead into halftime thanks to a pivotal 3-0 run that broke a 2-2 tie. Giblin scored twice early in the second quarter with a third goal from Brody Atkinson. Two late Saints goals cut the game back to one.

Coming out strong in the second half, Mount St. Mary's looked poised to pull off the upset. Initial strong defense kept Siena at bay and Dan Bradley posted a key score to make it 7-4. But the Saints proceeded to flip the script, closing the game out on a 10-0 run.

Information on the upcoming 2025 season and roster will be available in the coming months.
