EASTON, Pa. (April 15th, 2024) – After a strong outing on day one of the Abarta Invitational, the Mount rides out the regular season in triumph with a second-place tally. Mount St. Mary's went into today with sole possession of second place with a score of 295 (+7), seven strokes behind the leader, Lehigh.
TEAM RESULTS | INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Ben Smith led the Mount with a second-place nod, posting consecutive 70s and finishing with a final score of 140 (-4). Smith finished just one stroke out of first place after Jake Mrva of Fordham posted a 67, 5 under par round today.
Lehigh won the tournament with a team score of 572 (-4). Jake Mrva of Fordham finished atop the individual leader boards with a count of 139 (-5).
DAY ONE:
Joseph O'Malley and
Ben Smith were the Mount's top competitors in day one with a tie for second place shooting two under par (70), just three strokes back from the lead.
Mount St. Mary's brought nine golfers to the Coca-Cola Abarta Invitational, a team of five and four individuals. Of the nine, five finished in the top 25 following day one.

DAY TWO:
The Mountaineers shot five strokes lower than the first round yet were met with a Lehigh team that accomplished a similar feat. The Mountaineers finished in second place with a final score of 585 (+9).
The score breaks into the school's record books in the all-time team two round top-10 at fourth place, tied with the '23 Ka'Anapali Classic and the '11 Rehoboth Beach Invitational.
