BERLIN, Md. (March 29^th, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's is tied for third place following the first round of the Battle of Rum Pointe with a cumulative score of 304 (+13), just six strokes from first place. The Mountaineers are led by Ben Smith after the senior posted an even round of 72 and is tied for third place.
 
University of Penn currently holds first-place in the tournament after tallying a team score of 298 (+10). The competition is tight as seven of the 18 competing teams are shooting just above 20 over par. Ben Battye of La Salle currently leads the individual leader board with a first-round score of 69 (-3).
 
Aaron Sorkin breaks the top-10 with a placement tied for eighth after shooting a 75 (+3), while Juan Fradera is just outside the top-10 tied for 14^th after shooting a 76 (+4). Santiago Bonequi is tied for 52^nd with a score of 81 (+9), while Devin Smith is tied for 80^th after posting a score of 85 (+13).
