Emmitsburg, Md. (March 20, 2024)--Mount St. Mary's earned a 6-1 win over visiting Bloomsburg on a windy afternoon at the Mount St. Mary's Tennis Courts on Wednesday.  The Mountaineers improve to 5-8 on the season with the victory.

The Mount swept the three doubles matches to take the 1-0 lead in the match.  Victor Mignot and Elliot Stevens won 6-1 at the No. 1 spot while Jarrett Karnibad and Filippos Zachiotis clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles.  Ryan Wagner and Marcel Cronin earned a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Karnibad gave the Mount its first singles win with a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 4 position.  Luke Papayoanou won in straight sets at No. 6 singles, and Zachiotis clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.

The Mount returns to the court on Sunday, March 24, when Fairfield visits the Mount for a noon Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup.
