GENEVA, OHIO (February 15th, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's had a strong day, each team improving their placements from day one. The women hold fifth place with a score of 131.5, while the men hold sixth with a score of 117.
 
The men started their day out after 
Nicholas Santorelli finished 15
th in the 500-Yard Freestyle finishing with a time of 4:37.67, earning his team two points. Two events later 
Austin Toland placed first in the 50-Free with a time of 20.12 seconds, .40 seconds faster than the next opponent. 
Jonah Hancock, in the same event, finished 8
th with a final time of 20.55, the team earned 31 points in the event. Toland set a new school record, toppling 
Peter Jones' record of 20.86 seconds set at the CCSA Championships in 2020.
 
The women came up strong in the 50-Free after 
Christina Lazari led the pack with a third-place nod with a time of 23.63 seconds. 
Maddy Samuels, in the same event, finished seventh with a finals time of 23.65 seconds. Lazari missed the mark of a new school record by .05 seconds set by Samuels at the MAAC Championships last season. The women concluded their day with a second-place finish in the 200-Free relay as swimmers

Meghan Speicher, and 
Christina Lazari finished with a time of 1:34.41. The team toppled the previous record of 1:34.83 set at the Northeast Conference Championship in 2013.
