Emmitsburg, Md. (February 9, 2024)--Mount St. Mary's men's tennis fell to Hampton, 5-2, on Friday afternoon to spoil the Mount's spring home debut.  The Mount drops to 2-4 on the season.

The Mount's Jarrett Karnibad and Filippos Zachiotis prevailed over Aryan Arora and Donte Armbrister at the No. 2 doubles, 6-4, after Elliot Stevens and Victor Mignot were clipped by the same score by Daniel Flynn and Emiliano Jorquera at the No. 1 spot.  Hampton did not field a team at No. 3 doubles, securing the point for the Mountaineers.

In singles play, Hampton swept all five singles matches played.  Zachiotis fell in a third-set tiebreaker to Armbrister, 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4) at the No. 2 position while Aaron Thompson was also edged in a third-set tiebreaker, 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-4) by Shine Tokas.

The Mount is back in action on Saturday at Howard.
