LANCASTER, Pa. (November 23, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's swimming and diving finished the second day of their mid-season meet at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational in second and third places between the women's and men's teams respectively. Through 24 events finished, the women have accrued 640.5 points, with the men accruing 826 points after day two.
Carmen Del Aguila once again placed first in an A Final, this time in the women's 400-Yard Intermediate with a time of 4:26.29.
Christina Lazari placed first in the women's 100-Yard Breaststroke A Final with a time of 1:03.25. And
Theodora Kanellopoulou placed second in the women's 100-Yard Backstroke A Final with a time of 57.42, little more then a second off the pace of the first place finisher from Rowan.
On the men's side of the meet,
Parker Koenig placed first in the men's 100-Yard Butterfly A Final with a time of 48.51, two second shorter than his preliminary round time.
Nicholas Santorelli won the A Final of the men's 200-Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:40.61, again, two seconds off his earlier preliminary score. And
Aidan Grady placed first in the men's 100-Yard Breaststroke A Final with a 53.83.
The men's 200-Yard Medley Relay team of Grady, Koenig,
Jason Fitch, and
Austin Toland finished first in the A Final 1:30.33, a full second in front of the second-place team.

The Mountaineers conclude their mid-season meet at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational tomorrow, November 24, with prelims slatted for a 10:00 a.m. start and finals start time slatted for 6:00 p.m.
