GRANTHAM, Pa. (October 12, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's swim and dive opened their 2024-25 dual meet schedule with a dominant win in both the men's and women's competition against Messiah, with the men coming out on top 144-61 and the women winning out 130-75. Several records were broken for the women's team as

In a dominant showing of talent, the Mount placed first in 17 of the 22 events at the meet against the Falcons. The men's 400-Yard Medley Relay team of
Jason Fitch,
Aidan Grady,
Liam Rooney, and
Austin Toland recorded a time of 3:31.60 in the event. Toland also recorded a time of 1:46.92 in the 200-Yard Freestyle, four seconds in front of the second-place swimmer.
Lucas Hancock set a time of 22.06 in the 50-Yard Freestyle and
Nicholas Santorelli set a time of 55.37 in the 100-Yard Backstroke.
On the women's side of the meet, the team of
Hanna Aggen,
Christina Lazari,
Meghan Speicher, and
Madison Murphy recorded a time of 4:02.26 in the women's 400-Yard Medley relay, eight second in front of the second-placed Messiah relay team. Murphy also recorded a time of 2:00.36 in the 200-Yard Freestyle.
Carmen Del Aguila recorded a time of 18:01.41 in the 1650-Yard Freestyle event and
Theodora Kanellopoulou set a time of 25.18 in the 50-Yard Freestyle.
