COMPLETE RESULTS

Lewisburg, Pa. (September 3, 2023)—The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's teams wrapped up play at the Bucknell Invitational today at the Varsity Tennis Courts at Bucknell University.

For the men's team, freshman Akarsh Gaonkar picked up his first collegiate singles with a straight-set 6-0, 6-0 win over Nick McKenzie of Lafayette.  Elliot Stevens and Victor Mignot also picked up singles wins over players from Lafayette.  Stevens downed Sam Gelber, 6-3, 6-3, while Mignon topped Davis Esslinger, 6-1, 6-3.  In doubles, Gaonkar and Aaron Thompson picked up a 7-5 win over Esslinger and McKenzie while Jarrett Karnibad and Filippos Zachiotis defeated Arman Ganchi and Jake Magnusson of Bucknell, 7-5.

The Mount women picked up a pair of doubles wins.  Sofia Kostirko and Margherita Trolese defeated Bucknell's Tyne Miller and Tori Allen, 6-1 while Ryan McCarthy and Stephanie Huseby defeated Gretta Rhodes and Marie Discini of Saint Francis U, 6-4.

Up Next:  The Mount men's team is at Morgan State for a tournament on September 9-10 while the women will be at Towson on the same dates.
