EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 28, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's men's water polo fell 17-10 to the Cal State Fullerton Titans Thursday, in the first meeting between the teams and in the first matchup of the Mountaineers' California trip.
 
Alexandros Bellesis recorded a hat trick for the Mount, and Sherif Hosni collected 12 saves. Chrysostomos Valavanis and Michael Lemishko registered multi-goal efforts. Bellesis and Nicholas Wallace-Whitfield finished with multi-assist games.
 
The Titans tallied the first two goals in what amounted to a wire-to-wire game. Aaron Tarr scored to make it 2-1, but that turned out to be the lone goal of the opening frame. Cal State Fullerton led by five at the break and held on with six goals in the third period.
 
Mount St. Mary's continues their California trip with games against Westcliff and Chapman on Friday, September 29.
