LEWISBURG, Pa. (September 16th, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's water polo tips off the Bucknell Invitational with a commanding 15-9 win over Mercyhurst. The Mountaineers outscored the Lakers in three of the four quarters, while allowing only three goals until the fourth.

The Mountaineers controlled the pace of the game from start to finish as they scored seven goals to the Lakers one and entered the half with a commanding six goal lead. Out of the break Coach Vink and his team kept their foot on the gas, scoring five more goals in the third to put the game out of reach. They secured the win in the fourth, as they allowed six goals yet were off set by three of their own to keep the streak alive as the Mountaineers are now a perfect 9-0 against Mercyhurst in program history, and 2-0 this season.
