Makensy Knaub Sets School Record; Women’s Golf Finishes in Sixth Place

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (April 23rd, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's women's golf finishes in sixth place at the MAAC Championships with a final combined score of 927 (+63). Makensy Knaub set a record for best three round score after finishing in 13th place with a score of 230 (+14), breaking the previous record of 234 set by Olivia Gardenhour in 2019. Knaub finished the tournament with 32 pars and four birdies.
 
Quinnipiac placed first at the MAAC Championships with a score of 873 (+2). Three Quinnipiac golfers finished in the top three, Fuge Zhang of Quinnipiac placed first among the individual leader board with a score of 214 (-2).
 
Erika Cui and Chloe Sipe finished tied for 16th with a score of 233, a score that will be posted in the women's golf record books as the second best in school history. Jennifer Sorkin finished tied for 21st with a score of 235 (+19), while Naomi Yacyshen finished in 31st with a score of 240 (+24).
