MAAC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (April 22, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's pulled within five strokes of the lead after day two of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships at Disney's Palm Course on Saturday afternoon.  Individually, Hank Schaefer shot five under for the day to make a move into a tie for second on the leaderboard.

Siena is in first place in the tight-knit standings as just five strokes separate the top four teams.  The Saints have a two-round score of 575 (-1), followed by Fairfield (577, +1), Iona (578, +2) and the Mount (580, +4).  On the individual leaderboard, Schaefer's big second round moves him to -3 in the tournament, good for a tie with Siena's Dan Brooks for second place.  Fairfield's Killian McGinley has a commanding lead for the individual crown at -11 for the two days.  Devin Smith is -1 for the tournament with a score of 143, tied with a trio of golfers for fourth place.  Ben Smith is in 14^th place (147, +3), Aaron Sorking tied for 21^st (149, +5) and Michael Robinson tied for 36^th (555, +11).
