Box Score Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (April 13, 2023)--Mount St. Mary's dropped its final Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular season match at Marist by the score of 6-1 on Thursday afternoon.  The falls to 4-14 overall and 0-6 in the MAAC with the loss.  The Mount's doubles tandem of Jarrett Karnibad and Filippos Zachiotis provided the highlight of the match with a 7-6 win at No. 2 doubles to break the Mount's single-season record for wins by a doubles pair.

Karnibad and Zachiotis edged Marist's Christian Mills and Tomas Gomez, 7-6, at the No. 2 doubles position to earn their 20th win of the season, breaking the old mark of 19 set by Thad Mostowtt and Taylor Place in 2009-10.  The Red Foxes were able to earn the doubles point by winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. 

In singles play, Christos Dagklis provided the Mount's point in the match with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 win over Gomez at the No. 3 spot in the lineup.  Luke Papayoanoa dropped a hard-fought match to Nick Suhanitski, 3-6, 7-5, 7-5, at No. 4 singles.

The Mount returns to the court on Sunday, April 16, with a home matchup against St. Bonaventure on Senior Day.  The match will start at 12:00 p.m.
