MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mountaineers moved to 4-12 on the season with a 9-0 win at McDaniel on April 5th.  The Mount's No. 1 doubles tandem of Filippos Zachiots and Jarrett Karnibad cruised to an 8-1 win to improve to 18-5 as a pair this season.  The Mount swept all six doubles singles matches, dropping a total of just six games, to seal the victory.  The Mount won all three doubles matches to secure the three doubles points as well.

ABOUT NAVY:  Navy enters Wednesday's match at 17-19 on the season.  The Mids have won three-straight and six of their last eight matches after posting a 3-1 record this past weekend.  The Mids lost a 6-1 decision to Drexel and recorded wins over Bucknell, 5-2, Colgate, 7-0, and George Mason, 4-3.  Christian Pumpelly leads Navy with 20 singles wins on the year while Sasha Panyan is right behind with 19.  In doubles play, Panyan and Luke Garner are 21-7 as a tandem on the year.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES:  Mount St. Mary's is 0-20 all-time against Navy, including a 7-0 loss on Feb. 3 last year.  The closest match in recent years was a 4-3 Navy victory on April 8, 2017, in Emmitsburg.

ABOUT MARIST:  Marist is 3-13 overall and 2-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference heading into Tuesday's match with Fairfield.  The Red Foxes own 4-3 wins over Niagara, Rider and Lafayette and are 3-1 over the past four matches.  Alex Thompson leads Marist with 14 singles wins (14-16).

THE ALL-TIME SERIES:  This will be the first-ever meeting between the Mount and Marist.

CLOSING IN ON A SCHOOL RECORD:  The Mount's top doubles team of Filippos Zachiots and Jarrett Karnibad are closing in on the school record for doubles wins in a season.  The duo is 18-5 this year as a doubles tandem, just one win shy of matching the Mount's single-season record of 19 set by Thad Mostowtt and Taylor Place in 2009-10.  Mostowtt and Place were 19-5 as a doubles team that season.

UP NEXT:  The Mount will host St. Bonaventure for Senior Day on Sunday, April 16.  The match will being at noon.
