DeLand, Fla. (March 6, 2023) – Brady Drawbaugh, 2-4 on the day, hit a solo homerun down the left field line in the third to tie the game against the Hatters, but Stetson controlled the rest of the way delivering a 10-4 final to conclude the Mountaineers trip to Florida.
Drawbaugh's homerun was one of four runs scored for the Mount, the senior also earned in RBI in the first after singling to left which allowed
Jayson Kramer to score.
Efrain Correa, Jr. laid a sacrifice bunt down just past the pitcher to allow Long to score in the first, 2-0.
Stetson started the first three with solo run innings, 3-2. The Hatters were able to put together a game-deciding sixth inning after rallying for seven runs. Four of the seven runs came off a grand slam hit by Cameron Hill.
Long went 1-2 in the box today while drawing two walks and scoring once.
Brady Drawbaugh went 2-4 at the plate, scored once, and earned two RBI.
Jett Slepak pitched 2.2 innings, allowed zero runs on no hits, and tallied three strikeouts.
The Mountaineers are even on the season, 6-6, while Stetson increases to 9-4.
