Box Score Hershey, Pa. (March 20, 2023)--The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team opened Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play with a 6-1 loss to Siena on Sunday night at the Hershey Racquet Club in Hershey, Pa.  Filippos Zachiotis provided the Mount's point with a win at No. 2 singles.

The Saints won two of three doubles matches to secure the doubles point.  The Mount's Zachiotis and Jarrett Karnibad provided a 6-4 win over Matt Nardone and Agustin Suarez at No. 2 doubles.  The Saints countered with a 6-3 win from Dante Russo and Edward Vo over the Mount's top doubles pair of Elliot Stevens and Giovanni Abriola, and a 6-4 win by Juan Pablo Davila and Tomas del Olmo over the Mount's tandem of Marcel Cronin and Christos Dagklis at No. 3 doubles.

In singles action, Zachiotis earned a 6-3, 6-4 win over del Olmo at the No. 2 singles spot to give the Mount it's lone point of hte match.  Karnibad was edged by Andrea Moro, 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-7) at the No. 6 spot in the lineup.

The Mount is back in action on Tuesday, March 21, at Shepherd.
