EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 2, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's University has announced a change in its leadership with the men's soccer program. After six years with the program, Bryan Cunningham has resigned as the Mount's men's soccer head coach.
"I want to thank Bryan for his efforts as our head coach over the last six seasons," said Director of Athletics Brad Davis. "We wish him well in his future endeavors."
Appointed to the position in January of 2017, Cunningham coached six seasons at the Mount, recording a 22-59-10 overall record and a 11-34-7 mark in conference play. The Mountaineers finished the 2023 season 2-10-3 overall and 2-6-2 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.
"I have decided to resign today to pursue other professional opportunities," said Cunningham. "I would like to thank Dr. Trainor, Lynne Robinson, the Alumni, and the players that made my time here at the Mount special. I wish the Mount continued success in all its endeavors."
A national search for the next coach will commence immediately.
