LAHAINA, HI (October 26th, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's men's golf flew to Hawaii this week to compete in the Ka'Anapali classic, a three-day, 36-hole tournament. Following the first round, the Mountaineers are in 19
th with a gross team score of 290 (+6).
Ben Smith is the Mount's top competitor after tying for 19
th out of 120, while posting a score of 68 (-3). Smith birdied seven holes today while tallying a birdie on the three par five's he faced on the course.

Liberty leads the pack after shooting a gross team score of 262 (-22), followed by Georgia with a score of 266 (-18) and San Jose State with a posted score of 269 (-15). Brett Reid, Josh Ryan, and Isaac Simmons of Liberty represent three of the top ten golfers. Robbie Higgins of North Florida is atop the individual leader board with a score of 63 (-8), while Ivan Barahona of San Jose State is runner-up after posting a score of 64 (-7).

Santiago Bonequi posted a score of 74 (+3) and is tied for 91
st.
