Ben Smith Tied for 4th Place after Day One of the Turning Stone Intercollegiate

Emmitsburg, Md. (September 4th, 2022)- Junior Ben Smith puts on a full display of his abilities through the first 36 holes of the tournament. After two rounds at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate, Ben Smith shoots a score of 140 (-4), while the Mount St. Mary's men's golf team is tied for 8th place shooting a combined score of 601 (+25).
 
The University of Missouri leads the team leaderboard after two rounds, shooting a total score of 557 (-19). Mizzou's own Jack Lundin is leading the player leaderboards after the first day of competition, shooting a total of 133 (-11).
 
Junior, Hank Schaefer is tied for 28th shooting 149 (+5), while sophomore Devin Smith is tied for 38th shooting 152 (+8). Sophomore Aaron Sorkin is tied for 57th shooting a 163 (+19) and graduate student Matthew Kinsey is shooting 167 (+23), after two rounds of competition.
 
The Tournament, and final round of the Turning Stone Intercollegiate, will resume tomorrow.
