Emmistburg, Md. (September 23, 2022) – The Mount St. Mary's swimming & diving teams completed the American University relays this Friday evening. The Women's team finished fifth with a total team score of 356, while the men's team also finished fifth with a total team score of 402.
As the women's team rankings went, George Mason University placed first after finishing with a team score of 554. As the men's team rankings went, George Mason University placed first with a team score of 532.
Aidan Grady raced after
Griffin Distler and
Jacob Wallace in the mens' 300 (each swam 100 yards). Distler raced in 59.03 seconds, Wallace 58.16, and Grady 55.64.
Aidan Grady's time ranks 8
th all-time in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Meghan Speicher,
Elizabeth Horner and
Claire Svetz competed in the 300 backstroke relay. Speicher logged 1:02.15, Horner (1:01.20), Svetz (1:03.16).
Christina Lazari's time applies to the women's 100 breaststroke time. At 1:06.70, Lazari toppled the record set by Alyssa Felos (1:07.46) set back in 2017.
