Emmitsburg, Md. (September 17, 2022) – The Mount St. Mary's women's rugby home opener was a stunner as the Harvard Crimson came into Echo Field with fire, scoring 44 to the Mount's 0 at half and winning the game 95-7.

How It Happened
  • A few minutes into the game Harvard was the first to break the try zone as Cass Bargell after breaking away from the Mountaineers back line to take a 5-0 lead; try kick no good.
  •  The Crimson kept control, rattling off 44 points by half.
  • Harvard came out of the half with the same fire they began the game with as Crimson's own Charlotte Gilmour scored 1:30 into the second half; the score 51-0.
  • The Mountaineers broke through the center of the field as Holly Click went through defenders and scored at 57:03; the score 68-7.
  • The Crimson didn't budge, scoring four more tries as they won by a margin of 88.
