EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 10, 2022) – At the Siena Invitational Saturday, the Mount St. Mary's cross country teams brought home a seventh place finish for the men and 11
th place for the women.
John Wang led the men's squad by posting his second consecutive top five finish. Running his first 8K of the season, the graduate student finished in 25:25.6 to come in fourth place. The women's team saw
Molly Connelly cross the finish line first. Her time of 18:57.8 in the 5K ranked 22
nd in the field.
Point scorers also included
Mary Campbell (21:21.6),
Ellie Dorian (21:45.0),
Erin Billigmeier (22:26.3) and
Shehan Baird (22:55.2) for the women. The men's side got points from
Michael Chipi (26:24.0),
Paul Fagnano (26:36.1),
Kevin Zaleski (27:17.8) and
Seth Lassiter (27:50.5).
Select runners attended the Dutchmen Invitational, hosted by Lebanon Valley College.
Sofia Aguilar secured the best time in the women's 5K at 25:12.7, and
Alex Campagna for the men's 8K (28:43.7).
One of the marquee events on the cross country calendar awaits Mount St. Mary's at the end of the month, when they compete at Lehigh's Paul Short Run.
