Olivia Gardenhour Tied for 7th after First Round of NEC Championship

EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 20, 2021) – Graduate student Olivia Gardenhour was the top-performing Mountaineer in the first round of the NEC Championship after shooting a 79 (+7) to be tied for 7th place. The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team sits in 8th place after shooting a combined score of 352 (+64).
 
Sacred Heart leads the team competition shooting a combined score of 315 (+27), while Merrimack's Prakruthi Sastry leads the player competition with a score of 72 (E).
 
Freshman Erika Cui is tied for 27th place with a score of 86 (+14), while sophomore Suzanna Martin shot a 90 (+18) to be tied for 37th place. Senior Michaila Cheung sits in 39th place with a score of 97 (+25) with junior Olivia Block in 40th place after registering a 100 (+28).
 
The Mount will continue the NEC Championship tomorrow morning.
