EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 1, 2022) – Freshman
Devin Smith was the top-performing Mountaineer at the Orlando Invitational after shooting a total score of 227 (+11), shooting a 74 (+2) in the first round, a 75(+3) in the second, and a 78 (+6) in the final round. The Mount St. Mary's men's golf team finished in 13th place after shooting a combined score of 935 (+71).
Wright State won the team competition shooting a combined score of 859 (-5), while Wright State's Tyler Goecke won the player competition, shooting a three-round score of 210 (-6).
Junior
Sergio Quijano Sanin finished tied for 47th place, shooting a 231 (+15) score, with his best round being a 75 (+3). Senior
Michael Robinson shot a total score of 235 (+19) to finish tied for 57th place. Sophomore
Hank Schaefer finished in 70th place after shooting a score of 75 (+30 in the final round to have a total score of 241 (+25). Sophomore
Juan Fradera finished tied for 71st place, shooting a score of 243 (+27), and freshman
Aaron Sorkin rounded out the Mount with a score of 244 (+28) to finish tied for 74th place.
