Mount Men’s Golf Rounds off the Season at the Ka’Anapali Classic

Emmitsburg, Md. (October 30, 2022) – The Mountaineers' men's golf team finishes the Ka'Anapali Classic in 19th place, shooting a final team score of 890 (+38). Sophomore Devin Smith led the Mountaineers today shooting an even par (71). Junior Ben Smith was the Mount's top competitor in the tournament, finishing tied for 40th place and posting a score of 212 (-1).
 
Eleventh ranked Oklahoma finished atop the team leaderboards with a final score of 811, while having three players finish in the top five. Of Oklahoma's competitors, Drew Goodman, Jake Holbrook (ranked 98th in the nation), and Jase Summy (ranked 43rd in the nation) finished tied for fifth place posting a final score of 202 (-11). Atop the individual leaderboards is Andrew Swanson of Clemson, posting a final score of 195 (-18) finishing in first place.
 
The Mountaineers' lineup placed as follows: sophomore Aaron Sorkin finished tied for 104th posting a final score of 223 (+10), while sophomore Devin Smith finished tied for 111th posting a final score of 225 (+12). Junior Hank Schaefer finished tied for 118th posting a score of 230 (+17), while graduate student Matthew Kinsey finished in 122nd posting a final score of 245 (+32). Michael Robinson, our individual golfer, finished in 121st posting a final score of 238 (+25).
