Charlotte, N.C. (September 21, 2019) – Queens (N.C.) used a big second half to top the Mount women's rugby team 46-12 on Saturday. The Royals extended their winning streak to three and sit atop the NIRA Tier II standings at 3-0. Julie Crochet and Jalana Garcia were the try scorers for the Mountaineers on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Royals got off to a fast start with a try just five minutes into the game. Teaghan Steele was able to touch the ball past the touch line to give Queens the lead.
- The Mount was able to respond with a try from Julie Crochet to even the match at 5.
- After Antares Lance (Queens) and Jalana Garcia (Mount) each traded tries, the Royals took the lead with Lance's second try of the match to take a 17-12 lead.
- From there, the Royals did not look back. They finished the match with 34 unanswered points to secure the victory.
- Five different players scored tries for Queens while Allie English converted on four conversion kicks. English also added a penalty kick for the Royals.

The Mountaineers will return home next Saturday September 28, for two NIRA matches against Long Island University and Molloy College.
