Mount Men's Golf Finishes 11th at Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

Verona, N.Y. (September 2, 2019)--The Mount St. Mary's men's golf team finished in 11th place at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate which concluded today. The Mountaineers had a team score of 933 for the three round event while Michael Robinson was the Mount's top finisher.

Robinson carded a three-day total of 224 to finish in a tie for 23rd in the individual standings. Robinson shot a two-over par 74 today to pace the Mountaineers after shooting a 76 and 74 yesterday in the opening two rounds of the event. Nacho Gomez was the Mount's second best finisher (86-72-80=238) with Joe Lostumbo (77-81-81=239) on shot behind. Jack Snyder (76-82-90=248) and Pablo Alonso (93-75-81=249) rounded out the Mount's top five. Matthew Kinsey competed as an individual, carding a three-round total of 247 (83-78-86).

North Carolina took home the team title, posting a team score of 822 (-42), followed by Missouri (857), Delaware (891), Boston College (891), Valparaiso (902), Youngstown State (903), Sacred Heart (910), Northern Kentucky (911), Cleveland State (913), Binghamton (916). Mount St. Mary's (933), Towson (934), Canisius (943) and Niagara (975).

Individually, North Carolina's Ryan Burnett cruised to the title, finishing with a three-day total of 198 (-18), seven shots ahead of second-place finisher Austin Greaser (North Carolina), who shot a 205).

The Mountaineers are back in action on September 9-10 at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational which will be held at the Guyan Golf & Country Club in Huntington, W. Va.
