COMPLETE RESULTS
Huntington, W. Va. (September 10, 2019)—Nacho Gomez paced the Mount St. Mary's men's golf team at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational that concluded today at the Guyan Golf & Country Club. Gomez posted back-to-back rounds under par to finish in a tie for 20th place in the overall standings to lead the Mountaineers.
Gomez posted a round of 69 (-2) today to conclude the competition after shooting rounds of 74 (+3) and 68 (-3) yesterday. His three-round total of 211 earned him a tie for 20th in the individual standings. Joe Lostumbo was the Mount's second-best finisher, posting a score of 217 (74-68-75) that included a three-under par score of 68 in the second round.
Michael Robinson (78-75-74=227), Jack Snyder (77-84-76=237) and Jack Straub (78-84-81-242) rounded out the Mount's lineup. The Mount posted team scores of 302-295-294 for a three-day total of 891 (+39) to finish 15th in the 16-team field.
VCU took home the team title with a score of 821, followed by Dayton (824), Eastern Michigan (832), Eastern Kentucky (832), Wright State (838), Marshall (839), William & Mary (846), Belmont (848), Longwood (854), Youngstown State (860), Wichita State (864), George Washington (872), Cleveland State (875), Ohio (889), the Mount (891) and Saint Francis U (907).
The Mountaineers return to action on September 16-17 at the Hartford Hawks Invitational which will be held at the Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn.
