Verona, N.Y. (September 1, 2019)--The Mount St. Mary's men's golf team stands in 11th place after the first two rounds of the Turning Stone Tiger Invitational on Sunday.  Michael Robinson leads the Mountaineers with a two-day total of 150 that is good for a tie for 29th in the field of 88 golfers.  The tournament is being hosted by the University of Missouri.

North Carolina leads the tournament with a score of 553 for the first two rounds, 17 shots ahead of second-place Missouri (570).  Boston College (585), Delaware (595), Sacred Heart (603), Youngstown State (604), Valparaiso (605), North Kentucky (609), Cleveland State (614), Binghamton (614), Mount St. Mary's (617), Towson (623), Canisiuis (631) and Niagara (655) round out the field.

North Carolina has the top two golfers in the field with Ryan Burnett leading with a two-round total of 134 (-10) with teammate Austin Greaser right behind at 135 (-9). 

Robinson paced the Mount by shooting a 76 in the first round and following with a 74 for a two-round scored of 150 to stand in a tie for 29th overall.  Joe Lostumbo (77-81=156), Nacho Gomez (86-72=156) and Jack Snyder (76-82=158) are all tied for 57th after the first two rounds.  Matthew Kinsey (83-78=161) and Pablo Alonso (93-75=168) are also competing for the Mount at the tournament.

The tournament concludes with one round tomorrow.
