Men's Golf Moves into 18th Place on Second Day of Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate

RESULTS

Williamsburg, Va. (March 25, 2019) -- The Mount St. Mary's men's golf team moved up into 18th place on the second day of the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate on Monday.

The Mountaineers fired a team total of 300 during their second round, and currently sit ahead of NEC members Saint Francis U and St. Francis Brooklyn in the team standings with one day of competition remaining.

Nacho Gomez continues to hold the Mount's top spot on the individual leaderboard after his 74 (+3) on Sunday gave him a two-round total of 150. Gomez sits in a tie for 35th place overall.

Matt Kinsey fired a team-best 73 (+2) on Monday to give him a two-round score of 154. Pablo Alonso registered a 74 (+3), Michael Robinson shot a 79 (+8), and Jack Straub posted a 93 (+22) to round out the team's scoring on Monday.

The Mount closes out the tournament tomorrow (March 26), with a shotgun start set for 9 a.m.
