Williamsburg, Va. (March 24, 2019) -- The Mount St. Mary's men's golf team sits in 20th place following the opening day of the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate on Sunday.

Nacho Gomez led the Mountaineers on the opening day with a first-round score of 76 (+5), which puts him in a tie for 32nd place on the individual leaderboard. Matt Kinsey was next up for the Mount, posting a score of 81 (+10). Pablo Alonso shot an 84 (+13), Jack Straub fired an 86 (+15), and Michael Robinson registered a round of 90 (+19) to finish out the scoring for the Mount on Sunday.

The Mountaineers continue play on Monday, March 25.
