Women's Golf Rounds Out Opening Day of Kingsmill Intercollegiate

Williamsburg, Va. (March 18, 2019) – The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team rounded out the opening day of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on Monday from the Kingsmill-River Course in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Sophomore Olivia Gardenhour led the Mountaineers on day one by firing a two-round total of 170. Gardenhour began things with an opening round of 83 (+11), and followed with an 87 (+15) to close the day out. The sophomore is currently in a tie for 49th place on the individual leaderboard.

Freshman Michaila Cheung sits just behind Gardenhour with a two-round total of 171. Cheung posted rounds of 86 (+14) and 85 (+13) to close out the day in a tie for 53rd place on the leaderboard.

The duo is back in action tomorrow (March 19) for the final day of the tournament.
