DAY 1 RESULTS
East Meadow, N.Y. (February 13, 2019) – The Mount St. Mary's women's swimming & diving team rounded out the opening day of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships on Wednesday from the Nassau County Aquatic Center. The Mountaineers sit in eighth place through the opening three events.
In the first event of the night, the Mount's top relay squad of Maddie McGraw, Lauren Gullickson, Juliet Whitman, and Valeria Villagran placed eighth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:47.59. The relay team of Eliza Felos, Alyssa Felos, Lizanne Passaro and Brianna Rizzo registered a time of 1:55.62 in the event.
Laci Vickery posted the Mount's top score in the 1-meter dive with a 158.60, which earned her a 13th-place showing. Laura Kingham took 16th in the event with a score of 142.35.
To close out the night, the Mount's relay team of Mary Lombardi, Jordan Friedman, Whitman, and Gullickson swam to an eighth-place finish in the 800 free relay in 7:56.08. Haley Bodner, Elizabeth Fahrney, Cassie Mann, and Victoria Aung combined for a time of 8:36.64.
Day two of the championships begin tomorrow (February 14) with preliminary heats at 10 a.m. followed by finals at 6 p.m. Thursday's events will include the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, and 200 free relay.
