MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's men's swimming and diving team finished the Franklin & Marshall Invitational with 1,155 points to come in third place. Mary Washington and host Franklin & Marshall finished above the Mount team with the Diplomats taking home the prize with 1,490 team points. The Mount women's swimming and diving team placed fifth with 694 points. Washington & Lee University took home the gold on the women's side with 1,687 points.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Alex Henager finished first in the third heat of the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:59.61. Brock Cudahy finished second in the third heat of the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 47.67. Will Twizell placed first in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:01.93.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Kira Buchler finished 1st in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.75. Eliza Felos placed first in the second heat of the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:10.75. Juliet Whitman placed first in the second heat of the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:13.86. In the third heat of the 200 yard butterfly, Courtney Dodd placed 2nd with a time of 2:18.94.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The Franklin & Marshall Invitational will wrap-up the first half of the 2019-2020 men's and women's swimming and diving schedule. The teams will pick back up on January 18, 2020 at Howard for their first dual meet of the spring season.
