Brooklyn, N.Y. (November 2, 2019) – The Mount St. Mary's men's swimming & diving team was topped by St. Francis Brooklyn 153-136 in a tight contested meet on Saturday. The Mount women's swimming & diving team suffered the same fate with a 188-107 loss to the Terriers at the Saint Francis Aquatic Center.
HIGHLIGHTS: MEN'S MEET
- John Mata, Will Twizell, Thomas de Xavier, and Peter Jones finished 2nd in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:38.01
- Andrew Jones finished 2nd in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.19
- John Mata finished 2nd in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 25.30
- Will Twizell finished 1st in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 27.51
- John Wilson finished 2nd in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 28.28
- Peter Jones finished 1st in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 53.79
- Gregory Afolabi-Brown finished 2nd in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 54.22
- Ryan Griffiths finished 1st in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.81
- Brendan Flanagan finished 2nd in the one meter diving with a score of 198.30
- Peter Jones finished 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.84
- Ryan Griffiths finished 2nd in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 54.79
- Will Twizell finished 1st in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 59.82
- Ethan Pham finished 1st in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:02.73
- John Wilson finished 2nd in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:03.73
- Peter Jones, Gregory Afolabi-Brown, Brock Cudahy, and Ryan Griffiths finished 1st in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:27.44
